Totally starting over again with the story.  Its almost the backwards version of the first.  New title: I think my name is Lila.  Lila Jacobs awakens from a 3 year coma after a car accident.  People tell her who she is and whats going on, but Lila isn't so sure.  She keeps having flashes of a place and time far different from her own.  Then strange things that could only be explained as magic start happening around her.  Then all is explained.  Suddenly a man appears to her claiming to be none other then that legendary wizard Merlin.  He tells Lila that she is really Morgan le Fay, sister to King Arthur.  He explains that in battle the enemy (who has yet to be named) threw her into Limbo to be lost forever.  However in a final attempt to save herself, Morgan threw herself into the body of Lila Jacobs thousands of years ahead of herself.  What she hadn't bet on, was loosing her memory of what she once was and the knowledge of her magic.  Merlin has paused time in her old world, but it can only last for so long.  Now Lila must relearn her acient art while having to deal her now human faults.  Including a  love for another human.

    Update on Past Life

So I did my research and have discoverd who Lila will become when sent back in time.  Morgan le Fay, said to be either the sister or half-sister (and in some cases sister/lover) of Arthur.  It depends on what you read.  In some literature shes evil and leads Arthur to his death, but in most she is a benevelent fairy/soceress, and of all Arthurs rumored sisters, she is the most commonly mentioned. Of course in any good Arthur story, Merlin is present, but I haven't decided yet if he will advise Lila/Morgan in her magic yet or not.  More to be posted once actualy writing begins. Comments and Critisism welcome!

    Past Life

So last night my dad came up with this info he found that (assuming he actually existed) our blood-line came from King Arthur.  Which gave me a great idea for a story.  I love writing fantasy and the medieval/renaissance period seems to be making a come-back in today's fiction.  Therefore, I present for your pleasure and comments an outline of my perhaps soon-to-be debut novel Past Life (better titles are welcome too!)

Lila Jacobs is a 17 year old "wrong side of the tracks" kinda girl.  At age 7 she lost her family in a car accident and has been moved from foster home to foster home all her life.  She is a dark, brooding, character that doesn't listen to anything but her instincts.  Silently she has always wished to have a better life in another time.  One of romance and beauty that shes always dreamed of.  Suddenly her wish is granted and she finds herself transported back in time and discovers that she is not only nobility in this past life, but from the House Of Arthur himelf.  But something dark this way comes and Lila must take up arms against the thing that threatens the only place she ever felt she belonged.  Though the question remains, will she stay in this time to rule and change history as we know it? Or return to her own time?

    Hello Fellow Rennies

Monday, April 14, 2008, 07:11 PM MST [General]

For starters this past year was my first Ren Faire.  I played Winifred Baker the Baker's Daughter and fell very much in love with Faire.  Our cast is like a huge family and being the shy person I am, at 18 years old, its the only crowd I can really claim to have "run with".  Our Faire is over for the year, but I look foward to our other celebrations.  I got into Faire through a friend of mine (who also has a profile here I believe).  He was my improv coach, teacher, advisor, and dearest friend so when he asked me to come as a patron I gladly accepted.  As soon as I walked in the gates I knew it was something I had to do.  I really hope to be able to find some others from my home Faire and be able to stay in contact throughout the year until we meet again.
